Ann-Mari Pettersen NORWAY
Ann-Mari Pettersen (AMPettersen) is a Norwegian composer, songwriter and arranger with a passion for storytelling through music.
Here work ranges from electronic to acoustic music, as well as the combination of both. Through her work as an composer and arranger she has developed knowledge in many musical genres and she has written music for small ensembles and full orchestra.
She has studied classical composition techniques with the Norwegian composer Bjørn Sverre Kristensen for many years and in 2015 she studied music production at Noroff, School of technology and digital media. Through her internship with composer Raymond Enoksen (Dreamscore), she arranged some of the music for the Norwegian television series “Jakten på Nordlyset”.
In 2017 Ann-Mari continued her education in Film music at Lillehammer under professor in film music Halldor Krogh. Through this school she has had the opportunity to learn a lot about film scoring, work close with directors and write music for both The Norwegian radio orchestra (KORK) and Trondheim Symphony orchestra. (TSO).
Ann-Mari has written music for documentaries and short films, including The Culture who just won the FIBRESCI-award (critics award) 24th international short film festival in Drama Greece, Best short film Boston film festival, grand jury and student jury price Premiers plans and Short film of the year Bergen international film festival.
The final result was excellent. My experience is that Ann-Mari is hard working and a highly skilled composer. She showed a great capacity and she is creative when it comes to budget and possible solutions. I also experience her as a clearly communicator with both director, producer, sound designer and the editor. I give Ann-Mari my very best recommendations Producer Marte Hansen “The Culture”
