Therese Aune (NO) operates in a minimalistic soundscape primarily driven by analog synthesizers in combination with acoustic instruments. She has an experimental approach to music. This is something which is reflected not only in her work for film, but also in her other musical endeavours. Whether composing music for art installations, podcasts, sound books or as a creator for her own musical project – centered around stretching the boundaries of pop music – she finds sound works that hold a form of resistance in them to be most interesting.
Rather than composing any style of music, Aune has a distinct expression that is very much present in all of her compositional work. Her most recent efforts include composing music for the Norwegian TV series NUDES (NRK), as well as making a sound piece for the cross-disciplinary art installation Næsten Menneske (Almost Human). She is currently making music for a new project initiated by the Norwegian National Library whilst finalizing a Master's Degree focusing on composition and music production at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen (DK). |
