Film composer, accordionist and guitarist born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1984.
Alan Haksten graduated in 2013 in composition and electroacoustic composition at the National University of the Arts (UNA) in Buenos Aires and Arranging at the National Academy of Tango. He studied Scoring for Film and Media at the University of Gothenburg and Umeå University. In 2024 he graduated with a Master's degree in Composition for Audiovisual Media at Lund University. Alan Haksten has been part of several musical projects, in which he has worked as composer and instrumentalist, and has toured several times in Europe and South America. He has composed pieces for theater, dance, video games and film, both in South America, Canada and Europe, and has also released eight albums. He shares his life between Sweden and Argentina, where he has infused his personal contribution to the language of modern contemporary tango. Currently his compositions range from orchestral to minimalist, moving through electronic and folk, with a predominance of acoustic instruments and strong melodic elements in the music written for different orchestras and ensembles, such as the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, Malmö Akademiska Orchestra, Messiaen Quartet Copenhagen. |
