Einar Sv. Trygvasson ICELAND

Einar Sv. Tryggvason is an Icelandic composer, known for his minimalistic yet lyrical musical style, blending atmospheric textures with emotionally charged melodies.
Growing up in a musically vibrant home in Iceland, Einar developed a passion for storytelling through music early on. He pursued formal training in composition, earning a Bachelor’s degree from the Iceland University of the Arts in 2011 and a Master’s in Composing for Film from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
Einar’s distinctive approach to scoring has been celebrated in numerous notable projects, including the Icelandic horror box-office hit Kuldi, the critically acclaimed Rökkur, and the Prix Europa- nominated TV series The Flatey Enigma, which also earned him an Icelandic Music Award nomination for best film album.
His work on short films, such as the Vimeo Staff Pick Kanarí, further exemplifies his ability to craft soundscapes that amplify narrative depth.

Now based in Reykjavík, Einar continues to compose for film and media.
