Liliana Zavala is a percussionist, singer, composer, and producer, born in Córdoba, Argentina, and now based in Stockholm, Sweden. Nominated for the Swedish Grammys as Folk Music of the Year 2023 for her album Todos Mis Muertos, she also received a nomination for Rhythm of the Year 2023 at the Manifesto gala.
In 2022, Liliana received the SKAP Award and was commissioned as a composer by Scenkonst Sörmland. Additionally, she collaborated with Karin Dreijer and three other composers to create The Wolf, the music for the film Red Riding Hood, directed by Catherine Hardwicke and produced by Leonardo DiCaprio. Her music draws inspiration from vivid imagery and deep emotions, making her an ideal candidate for film scoring. With a vision that transcends genres, her recent album Todos Mis Muertos pays tribute to lost loved ones, melding rhythms and rituals surrounding death. Liliana's global influences allow her to create resonant and contemporary musical experiences. |
