Petja Virikko FINLAND
Petja Virikko is a Helsinki-based composer for film, TV, and games. With a background in studio engineering, he often likes to blend vintage recording techniques and modern modular synthesis to create immersive and distinctive soundscapes.
In 2024, Petja received the prestigious Canneseries Best Music Award for his work on the German series Die Zweiflers, created in collaboration with fellow Finnish composer Marko Nyberg. They also got nominated for Best Music by the German Academy for Television in 2024, further recognizing the score. Petja's other works include co-composing the Nightless Night sequence for Alan Wake II, a game developed by Remedy Entertainment. His music was also featured in the Apple TV+ series Silo. |
