Sindri Már Sigfússon ICELAND

Sindri Már Sigfússon (aka Sin Fang) is an award-winning composer based in Iceland. Sindri started out producing and performing music as a member of the band Seabear and as a solo artist under the name Sin Fang. He has released several albums to critical acclaim and worked with artists such as Jónsi, Alex Somers, Sóley, Atli Örvarsson, Chrome Sparks, múm, Farao, Kjartan Holm, Francesco Fabris, Mary Lattimore, Talos, and JFDR.

Sin Fang has worked as a score producer for Sigur Rós, Alex Somers, and Gary Lightbody (Snow Patrol).

As a composer under his birth name, his notable scores include:
  • Foscadh (Ireland's entry for Best International Feature Film at the 2021 Oscars and winner of Best Irish First Feature at the 2021 Galway Film Fleadh).
  • HBO's Woodstock: Peace, Love & Rage, which he scored alongside The Cranberries guitarist and songwriter, Noel Hogan.
  • CBS's The Darkness, directed by three-time Oscar nominee Lasse Hallström.
  • Amazon’s VAKA, directed by BAFTA nominee Henrik Georgsson.
  • Svepparíkið (The Mushroom Kingdom): For this nature docuseries about fungi, Sindri used a fascinating "bio-sonification" process, attaching electrodes to mushrooms to translate their bio-electrical pulses into MIDI data, creating an otherworldly, organic electronic score.
