Born in 1971 in Iceland, Sveinn is a versatile artist primarily known for his acting career, which began in 1995. Since 2014, he has also explored his passion for music, composing for theatre and film. His approach to composition is often improvisational, viewing everything as a potential instrument. Drawing on his acting experience, he has a keen ability to 'read the screen.' Sveinn has also served as a music director and editor for the film Quake (2021)by Tinna Hrafnsdóttir, and his latest work includes composing the music for the Icelandic TV series Descendants (Heima er Best), released in 2023 and also released in Finnland in April 2024.
In 2024, Sveinn was nominated for the Crystal Pine Award for Best Original Score in a TV series at the International Sound & Film Music Festival (ISFMF). |
