Hotel Motel One Tiergarten will be the place to be for the nominated composers and the NFMD team and we would love it if you chose this hotel as your allocation point as well! With only a short 10 minute walk to the Nordic Embassies, this is a prime location for you if you are considering joining us for the 2024 Nordic Film Music Days. If you would like a chance to greet us during breakfast or have a chat at the hotel bar then hurry on over to the hotel website to book your room. What should you expect for 2024?
Are you wondering whether you should join us in Berlin in February 2024? Here's a little sneak peek on what you can expect:
Friday 16.02.24 For the first time ever, we are collaborating with the Berlinale and The European Film Market to bring you an intriguing seminar and a chance to mingle with producers and directors. Stay tuned for more details. We are introducing Baltic Nights, a collaboration with three major film festivals from Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. Stay tuned for more details. Saturday 17.02.24 As always, Saturday will be spent at the lovely location of the Nordic Embassies and the day will be filled with a variety of seminars and a chance to network amongst fellow composers. The winner of the prestigious HARPA Nordic Film Composers Award 2024 will be announced Saturday evening, followed by a celebration at the Nordic Embassies and as always, everyone is invited back to the hotel afterwards for some celebratory pizza and sushi. Sunday 18.02.24 On sunday, you will have the opportunity to view each one of the nominated films and let us know which one was your favourite. We hope to see as many of you as possible! The final program will be available in January 2024 and all our events will be free of charge. |
What happened NFMD 2023
The winner of the HARPA Nordic Film Composers Award 2023 is Norwegian composer Jørund Fluge Samuelsen for his score to Hallvar Witzø’s ’Alle hater Johan’

What is HARPA & Nordic Film Music Days?
Nordic Film Music Days creates a space to communicate, start future collaborations, educate and to network during the festival. Since 2010, Nordic composers have joined forces to put focus on Nordic Film Music and Nordic Film with the HARPA Nordic Film Composers Award.
Since 2016, Nordic Film Music Days and the HARPA Nordic Film Composers Award have been taking place at the Nordische Botschaften in Berlin at the same time as the Berlinale Film Festival. It’s a unique opportunity to spotlight Nordic composers and to celebrate their music during this prestigious festival. HARPA Nordic Film Music Days and Composer Award is supported by Nordische Botschaften.
