NORDIC FILM MUSIC DAYS 2018

NORDIC FILM MUSIC DAYS 2018 took place at Nordische Botschaften.
NORDIC FILM MUSIC DAYS aimed at presenting the high quality of Nordic film- and mediamusic for the participating composers and to the young professionals present at the Berlinale.

The HARPA NORDIC FILM COMPOSERS AWARD was handed out as a part of NORDIC FILM MUSIC DAYS. ​The HARPA award 2018 went to Daníel Bjarnason (Iceland) for his score to Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurðsson feature film Under the Tree. ​

10.15 – 11.00 – A Multiple-Arena Case Study: Preserving Nordic Film Music History. By Jesper Hansen.(DEN) 

11.00 – 11.45 – The director/composer relationship: Bent Hamer (NOR) & John Erik Kaada (NOR)". Moderated by Thor Joachim Haga (NOR).  

11.45 – 12.00 – Break
 
12.00 – 13.00 – How to be your own agent? Panel with composers Jean-Paul Wall (SWE), Kate Havnevik (NOR) and Panu Aaltio (FIN). Moderated by Andrea Reuter.  (SWE/FIN)

​13.00 – 14.00  – Lunch

14.00 –15.45  – Speedmeeting 

16.00 – 17.00 – Award ceremony, with an introduction by Councellor for Cultural Affairs at the Swedish Embassy, Nina Röhlcke and with the presence of Elín Rósa Sigurðardóttir, Deputy Ambassador, Icelandic Embassy. 

17.00 – 19.00  – Afterparty

In 2018 the nominees for HARPA Nordic Film Composers Award were:
