Anna Roxenholt SWEDEN

The most compelling artists create their own personal worlds through the power of their music. Characters, myths and scenery all coexist to immerse the listener into a realm so foreign to the mundanity of daily life that they seek the music as a sort of refuge. Swedish-born, Berlin-based electronic pop musician Anna Roxenholt has been creating those kinds of worlds for almost exactly a decade with her project New Found Land, and recently reached an artistic peak with her fourth album Lore. Inspired by a multitude of folk tales from the far reaches of the globe, Lore is a culmination of Anna's knack for marrying a flair for the dramatic with simple, lush synths, electronic beats and her honey'd vocals that are reminiscent of both mainstream pop and more deconstructed indie dance acts like Robyn and The Knife.

Since her first release in 2009 Anna’s music has been featured in several TV series & films by production companies like MTV, SVT, Red Bull, Showtime, CTV, RTE and Warner Bros. In 2013 she got signed by the publishing branch of the British cult label Ninja Tune (Just Isn’t Music) and started to pursue her writing also for other artists and as a bespoke composer for film and advertisement.
