Douglas Black Heaton is a British-Finnish composer for TV and film based near Helsinki, Finland.
His recent work includes the Nordic Noir and Conspiracy albums for EMI, BBC documentary series The Romantics and Us, the Nordic short film Working My Ass Off for Kaarina Leinonen, and the Angry Birds Slingshots, Royals Next Door, and Momolu animation series. Douglas has scored promos for John Lewis, L'Oreal, Nokia and Moomins as well as music for Angry Birds tie ups with Star Wars, Lego, Transformers and Shakira. Strange but true. In the 2016 hit The Angry Birds Movie you can hear his guitar playing accompanying Peter Dinklage, Bill Hader, Josh Gad and Danny McBride singing the Mighty Eagle Song. He is also a tutor on the Masters’ Courses at Thinkspace Education and University of Chichester, an online film scoring school run by composer Guy Michelmore. |
