Having played instruments since the age of five, Jakob Lindhagen is a composer, music producer and artist based in Stockholm. With an accessible yet experimental approach, he is currently gaining recognition for his work on Norwegian/ French/ Swedish co-production ”My Wonderful Stranger” (competing in the ”Nordic Competition”-category at Göteborg Film Festival 2024), with the music selected for competition at the prestigious ”Music & Cinema Marseille”.
Having made a name for himself in the postclassical/ambient world with solo works ”Paces” (1631 Recordings/ Decca Publishing) and ”Memory Constructions” (piano and coffee records) as well as a string of notable collaborations and compilation-appearances, his music has accumulated streams in the millions, airtime on i.e BBC and KEXP and several ”Album of the year”-accolades, having worked together with, among others, Nils Frahm and Grammy-awarded engineer Antonio Pulli. Other notable works include the original music for Swedish Academy-awarded documentary ”Skörheten”, and the short films ”Ingen Lyssnar” and ”Push It”, that were both in competition for the short-film Palme d’Or at Cannes Film Festival. |
