"My music kept me out of trouble as a child and a young man in Stockholm. I went to music school and studied choir music and basically performed every week. This gave me the base I stand on today and is my solid ground. Later in life music gave me the means to travel and to work with other musicians and I toured throughout the countryside of Sweden for several years during the 1980’s. Meeting my own music as an artist in a very direct way. When I finally settled down to build my studio in Stockholm as a workspace and creative hub for many people all through the 1990’s I started to feel that I was becoming more and more detached from my own music. But as a loyal girlfriend that I had treated badly for many years, my music took me back once again. And I discovered that the more personal my music became the more my music became universal and easy for others to comprehend.
So. From my early years in music school. Through my years on the road as a musician and vocal artist. Over the years as a studio owner working with the music of others up to now, when I work out of a small studio in Stockholm, Sweden for TV and cinema with just my heart and my creativity. And an orchestra occasionally. The more personal my music can be the more I can touch others with my music.” Jean-Paul Wall |
