Jonas Colstrup (b. August 27th, 1979) is a Danish composer andmusician. Colstrup has composed the music for a long line of documentaries, feature films and TV-series.
Some of his most noticeable work includes composition of the score for The Square, which won the 2013 Sundance Film Festival Audience Award for World Cinema in documentary, garnered three Emmys, and was nominated for a 2014 Academy Award. More recently Colstrup composed the score for the Swedish film ‘Tigers’ which earned numerous awards and became Swedens submission for the Oscars 2021. Besides his work as a film composer Colstrup is also a recording artist and in 2022 he released his second album ‘At The Crest’ on the Berlin based label 7K! with music for full orchestra, choir and various soloists gaining the nomination for ’Best Classical Record’ at The American Independant Music Award the ‘2023 Libera Awards. |
