Jørund Fluge Samuelsen NORWAY
After music pedagogics studies in the 90s, Jørund Fluge Samuelsen founded, and became one of the main composers, in the platinum record selling pop group Trang Fødsel throughout the decade.
From 1999 to 2001 he wrote music for the popular children’s television hero Asgeir, releasing three records and winning Spelemannsprisen (Norwegian Grammy) for one of the records in the category, Music for children. For the past 20 years Samuelsen has established himself as a consistent composer and producer and preferred contributor for a wide range of Norwegian musicians, artists and directors. His extensive release catalogue in a broad spectre of genres proves his versatility as both arranger and producer. Samuelsen’s special mix of organic folky sound and pop music flair has given him the opportunity to score for television series, radio drama and short films. His most recent work for film is his score for the 2022 drama film "Alle hater Johan" (Everybody hates Johan) for which he won the Amanda Award in the category Best Original Score. |
