Martin Raabe-Olsen (b.1982 in Kristiansand, Norway) is a classically trained trombone player and orchestral conductor with many years of experience from the classical music scene in Scandinavia. He studied at the University in Stavanger, Malmö (Lund University), The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, with Prof. Ole Kristian Ruud and Jukka Pekka-Saraste. Martin had the great honor of having the former Chief conductor - Maestro Kurt Masur (New York Philharmonic and Gewandhausorchester Leipzig) as mentor. Martin studied Film Music Composition at the “Inland University for Applied Sciences in (2021-2022) with Prof. Halldor Krogh. As a dramatist he debuted with the play “Doremia” at Sentralen in Oslo in October 2023 with the director Paul-Ottar Haga from the Norwegian Theater (Det Norske Teater). Martin lives in Berlin where he also works with several German orchestras as an arranger and orchestrator. Martin's compositional style can be characterized as a fine blend of classical orchestral music, chamber music, improvised music (jazz, bigband and balkan) and touch of synthesized sounds. Films:
