Rasmus Zwicki DENMARK
Rasmus Zwicki is a Danish composer of operas, concert music and music for film/media. He was the 2018 winner of the Oticons Faculty International Film Music Competition, and a composer fellow in the 2018 Sundance Institute Film Music and Sound Design Lab at Skywalker Sound, California, with mentors Thomas Newman, Tyler Bates and Harry Gregson-Williams.
Rasmus holds a master’s degree in composition from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where he was also awarded a one year fellowship (2018-19).
In collaboration with composers Peter Due and Anthony Lledo, Rasmus Zwicki provided orchestral soundtracks for the 2020 five part TV series “Wild and Wonderful Denmark”, scoring various wildlife adventures and sceneries from the Danish nature, with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and Girls Choir.
His music has been performed by Copenhagen Phil, Danish National Chamber Orchestra, Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, Aalborg Symphony Orchestra, Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen, The Funen Opera, Plus Minus Ensemble, EXAUDI Vocal Ensemble and TRANSIT among many others.
Recent work includes music and sound design for the multi award winning 2018 animated short film “Quiet”, the 2020 short film “Khalid”, and his 2019 opera “Duncan House”.
