Simon Kölle SWEDEN
Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, Simon already at an early age came to love stories. After years as a playwright and director, Simon went into music wholeheartedly. Some 10+ Albums Later, running a record label and distribution for 10 years, studies in theatre, film science and dramaturgy, writing and film music; Simon shifted his focus to film music. Simon has worked both in the nordic countries and Hollywood. He’s been given accolades by the likes of Ennio Morricone, Oliver Stone, John Malkovich, and Steven Seagal. He has also won more than 20 international awards and has been nominated at festivals in Hollywood, London and several other places. In 2013 Simon started to produce film projects and has produced several features that’s been seen all over the world. Today, he works as a composer and film producer.
During 2020 and the first-months of 2021 Simon will compose music to the upcoming tv-series “Dystopia” which will have its premiere on Viaplay 2021, before it gets a world-wide release. Simon has also composed the music for the action/thriller feature “Fear of the Woods” (2020).

In 2013 Simon started to produce film projects. During 2016 Simon made his debut at the Hollywood scene, working with Steven Seagal on an homage to 80s and 90s martial arts action movies. The same year Simon also worked with the film “Ave Mater” / “Vilsen” and the celebrated short film “Legend of Dark Rider." 2016 was also the year Danish studio Northplay’s released “Conduct” This!” which became Simon’s first big success in the world of games.
Other more recent work from Simon includes writing music for; "White Trash / Vitt Skräp", directed by Tobias Nordquist (2019), "The Huntress: Rune of the Dead" (2019), the score has won awards at several film festivals around the world. He has also worked with season 2 of tv-series "Svartsjön (Black Lake)", directed by Richard Jarnhed & Per Simonsson (2018) and featured documentary “Living With The Secret Kogi Tribe” with artist Anders “Moneybrother” Wendin, directed by Titus Paar (2018). Simon has been nominated and won several awards for his work. A few mentions are: Vegas Movie Awards 2020; Best Original Score (Composer),Best Narrative Feature (Producer) and Best Film Of The Month (January) (Producer). Queen Palm Film Festival 2019; Best Original Score (Composer),Best Feature (Action/Mystery/Thriller) (Producer) and Best Producer (Honorable Mention) (Producer). London Independent Film Awards 2017; Best Original Score (composer). International Mobile Game Awards; Best Music and Musical Zone Japan; Best Soundtrack of the year (2 times). Simon is a returning guest lecturer on the Film Music courses at Stockholm University, he is the host and chairman of the jury of Film Music Live Festivaland the chairman and founder of the non-profit association Musik i Film (Music in Film). As a Film Producer Simon is the CEO of a Swedish based production company named Tulpa Creatives. Their work includes creating tv series, films, music, commercials and novels.
