Sofia Hallgren is a film composer splitting her time between beautiful Åre and Stockholm, Sweden. She has a degree in music production from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and has been working with film music in different ways ever since her graduation in 2013.
Sofia has composed the score for several feature films, including “The Uppsala Kidnapping” (2018), “Gabi, Between Ages 8 and 13” (2021), “Kärlek & Skilsmässa” (2022) and “Philosopher of the Sea” (2023), short films and commercials and strives to enhance stories with unique and authentic music, always using real musicians rather than sampled instruments. Trumpet and piano are Sofia’s main instruments, instruments which are often heard in her music, but her real trademark and passion are her string arrangements. |
