Sveinung Nygaard SWEDEN
om Bergen, Norway, educated in London, Jönköping (Sweden) and Lillehammer (Norway) and with a background as guitarist. Lived in London for between 2004 and 2013, working on projects in the UK but mainly in Dubai and Qatar. He composed the music for the first animated arabic tv-series FREEJ (5 seasons plus live shows) as well as BOOK OF RIDDLES (1 season) and MANDOOS (1 season). In 2011 he composed the opening music for Dubai International Film Festival, and in 2015 wrote the main song for the World Handball Championship in Doha.
He has produced music albums in England and Norway, music for theatre in Ukraine as well as commercials for Volvo, Jumeirah and Polestar, and documentaries. He has travelled widely and recorded with orchestras in London several times as well as in Norway. As an artist, he has released three instrumental albums. He composed music used in THE VIDEOMAN (2017) as well as TED-FÖR KÄRLEKENS SKULL (2018). His first feature film was the Sicilian film HANDY, and is currently working on a Swedish feature that is under production, due to be released in 2020. Also under development is the live concert project FLYT which is an ambient acoustic world music project inspired by Viking travels, collaborating with musicians from Istanbul, The Balkans, England, Sweden and Norway. He currently lives in Gothenburg, Sweden, and has his studio facilities at Gothenburg Film Studios with Cloudberry Post. |
