Therese Aune (NO) operates in a minimalistic sound universe primarily driven by analog synthesizers combined with acoustic instrumentation. She has an experimental approach to music, which is reflected not only in her work for film, but also in her other musical endeavors. Aune draws inspiration from sound works and art that contain some sort of resistance. Besides her work for films, Aune makes music for podcasts, sound books and art installations. She also creates music for her own solo project centered around the voice and the synthesizer.
Among her recent projects is the feature documentary No Place Like Home (Emilie Beck/Indie Film) and the podcasts Utilgivelig (NRK), I dødens spor (Filt Oslo/NRK) and Jeg var der (Heartbeats.dk/ENIGMA museum). She is currently working on the music for a new feature documentary by a Norwegian director. Aune holds a Master’s Degree in Music Creation from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen (DK) focusing on text, composition and music production (2018-2020). |
